Carie by Quentin Leblanc

I came across this design from Quentin Leblanc and thought it was worth posting. Quentin does have some bright colored and interesting pieces in his portfolio. You can view his work at http://www.artofleb.fr/

Apparel Mockups for $4.99

There are 5 new mockup sets from Bradley Oesch's store that are available for $4.99 each. They look official and can be very useful for client approvals or for anyone's t-shirt line. You have the option of a crewneck t-shirt, raglan, tanktops, girly tees, and v-neck mockups. What's very useful about these compared to other templates is that there is a back side of the shirts. These are very affordable, that quite frankly are a steal.

New Tees & Tanks from Cavata Clothing

Check out the new tees and the tank tops coming out of Boston's Cavata Clothing. I personally like the aqua colored logo splattered tee. I've said it before their logo is simple and well done, which fits their goal of raising money for arts and music programs while delivering fresh gear. If you're from Boston they have the Boston Cityscape design in Bruins and Patriots colors. I think the Cavata Productions Presents design is another cool design, because of the old radio feel with the vintage microphone. I feel the tanktop has the better colorway than the tee, but that's my opinion. Overall, Cavata puts out solid stuff and I highly recommend buying a tee or two from them.

Pinstripe Skate Deck

This video shows how the pinstripes were made for the company Code of Conduct. It doesn't seem easy, but what is?

Awesome Super Mario Villains Illustration

Mike Puncekar has created some very twisted cool illustrations of the villains from Super Mario Bros. It seems he keeps updating his blog with new pieces, as well as other illustrated goodness. It's good to see a rugged approach rather than the cartoon look that everyone has grown and loved. I think my favorite might be the bullet.

Superhero Prints by Danny Haas

Danny Haas has a couple prints for sale, but these superhero ones caught my attention. They're minimal with nice texture and they show both sides of the character. His prints cost $17.68 and if you like what he has done, then I'm sure you have no problem decorating your office or home with them.

The prints are a fine art print on bright white, matte, ultra smooth, 100% cotton rag, acid and lignin free archival paper using an advanced digital dry ink method to ensure vibrant image quality. Custom trimmed with 1" border for framing.

Glennz Tees Video of "The Perfect Plan"

It really should be called the 'Purrfect Plan", but this is another clever design by Glenn Jones for his t-shirt company Glennz Tees. Watch as he creates this art with such ease.

Wiz Khalifa poster by Vision

This was created by Spanish graphic designer Adrián Romero or as he's known in Spain as Vision. I like the color palette, the flow from the bottom to the top, the elements he used to surround the illustrated rapper, the custom looking text, and the texture in the background. Since, Wiz Khalifa enjoys smoking the ganja I really do think the choice o using green was smart. What are your thoughts?

The Dark Knight Rises Poster

If you haven't seen it, here is the poster of the new Batman movie "The Dark Knight Rises". I love how the the crumbling buildings create the shape of Batman's logo. It is very well done and it does continue to have that dark feel to it as well. Aside from that, I look forward to it.

Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival Poster

I think this is a refreshing poster when it comes to hip hop shows. The Brooklyn Hip Hop festival teamed up with Sabit NYC to bring this funky fresh poster. If you're in the Brooklyn area next Saturday you should head over and see the performances.

Angry Spade -New Apparel

Angry Spade is still a new indie brand, but they released a new belt, tank top, and shirt. I'm not a fan of most of their designs at all, it's not special or anything that appeals to me, but this design is cool. I think the belt is cool for teenagers, while the tank and tee can be worn by most people. Printed tags is always a good thing and you can tell their serious. The ink is waterbases too, so that means a soft print and not heavy plastic on your chest.

Hydro 74 Hardcover book

As you may know by the occasional post, I'm a fan of Joshua Smith aka Hydro74. He recently had a hardcover book of 50 illustrations on pre-order. I pre-ordered the book and I received it early from the original date it was said it was supposed to arrive. I received it and it contained some sweet looking stickers. The book is thin, but you can see all the details up close in personal. It's a good reference book, but it's good to see how he created each design. Not all of the designs are on his portfolio, but those that are, it's good that you don't have to constantly go on his site to view. It's now $45, but it's worth it. I enjoy art books by various designers/artists, so it was a treat for me.
